You wouldn't need to use cl, you could prepare the OPNQRYF command
dynamically, in your rpg program, and call QCMDEXC.

yes -  also, don't forget the CLOF command.

SQL comes (sorta) on every as/400.  but if you don't have sql/400 it
gets a little tricky to use it - you have to key the sql commands into a
separate source member and compile it.  NEWS400 and Midrange Computing
both have several articles on "Query Manager Queries".   - see CRTQMQRY
and STRQMQRY (I think) for more info.

My suggestion though, since you are already familiar with OPNQRY, that
would be the way for you to go.
