Jeffrey,

We are using Monarch extensively in our environment. The big push for us is an
attempt to move toward a paperless society (i.e. emailing all daily, weekly,
monthly reports to users). We have had a great deal of luck. The models do
take a while to set up in the beginning but once they're set up you can keep
using it until the report changes. There are automation tools that will make
weekly report distribution a hands off process. The other nice thing about the
product for us is the ability for users to extract their own information
instead of asking IS to run a special report. We will run a detail report and
5 different people will extract 5 different reports *offline*. Much of what we
are doing is converting to Excel spreadsheets.

Please feel free to call me if you would like to discuss in detail. Give
Monarch a chance, it is much more powerful than it appears at first glance.

Does anyone have experience with Monarch? We are trying to use it to
read AS/400 spool files into comma delimited or spreadsheet files. So
far, we haven't had much luck. Any insight would be great!
