  • Subject: Spooled file ==> Web Page?
  • From: Robert Myers <bachel@xxxxxxxxxxx>

Please help me with this...

1) RISC-based 400 running V3R7.
2) Simple spooled file with some vertical and horizontal lines
using the (-) and (|) chars. with a mixture of approx. 200+ chars.
across.

Trying to get it out of the 400 and into a Web page!

Got the process down, and can see it in the web page,
but it doesn't respect the tabs(?), so the 'columns' of the
report don't line up - it looks terribly messy!

This is how I did it:

First used the 'copy to file' command.
Then, used Netsoft's 32bit transfer program to upload
it to the PC side (basic sequencial type of format).
Pulled it up in WordPad, and suprisingly looks just
like it was on the spool file - columns lined up and
everything!

But then, I dropped into a 1 column by 1 column table
(all 255 chars. across) on the Web pageand guess what?
The columns were all messy! :-(

HELPPPPPP!!!!!

So, what's the best way to move a spooled file into
*your* web page?

Any third party products you'd recommend?

Thanks in advance.
