Tim:

Decimal Data Errors are common when you try to convert S/36 program files into
external files using *NOCHK.  The best way to handle this is use the FIXDECERR
routine published in the Midrange Computing and fix the dde in the external
file.   Make sure to clear the format somewhere in your program to initialize 
the
fields.  S/36 is very understanding, AS/400 is very picky on the data format.

Look under January 1992 for "stamp out decimal data error".  B920106 is
the name of the file.
