To get a chat client download the Microsoft Chat Version 2.1 (beta) from 
their web site.

I think it's at  www.microsoft.com/ie   then fish around for downloading 
components or plug-ins or something like that.  DO NOT DOWNLOAD CHAT 2.0 as 
it doesn't work with raw ISPs.
