I am having a problem with ODBC (I think!). I am running Win/95 and
client access. I start the router and go into Excel. I click Data
Source and it starts MS Query. I add a new query and it prompts
me for the data source. I select my AS/400. It displays the
physical files from the default library I configured for ODBC. I
select the physical file and it displays the fields. I select two
fields and click the button to run the query. It returns an error

    SQL0104 TOKEN * WAS NOT VALID. VALID TOKEN:(
                       <IDENTIFIER>

I cannot find this message anywhere. Help on MS Query says the ODBC
driver is returning this error. In reviewing the query, it does
generate the following SQL statements:

SELECT CKSWORK.CKACNO, CKSWORK.CKCHNO
FROM *N.QS36F.CKSWORK CKSWORK
WHERE (CKSWORK.CKACNO=0563002)

One thing I am curious about is where is the *N is coming from. Is
this the proper structure for SQL statements passed through ODBC?

Thanks in advance.....
