No offense, but you obviously are familiar with order entry clerks FAR more
savvy than Don and I usually deal with :-)! Oddly enough, I know so-called
"unskilled" workers on shipping/receiving docks that are FAR more computer
literate than most order entry clerks (the latter supposedly require advanced
computer skills for their jobs -- and the former are the ones dealing with
UPS and RPS via PC). Most order entry clerks I deal with have difficulty
using "self-executing" word processing macros, despite the fact that they use
the WP package on a daily basis.

Appending artwork for custom made items? Are you serious? Do users fix
their own software problems in your world too ;-)? Usually, order entry
clerks are busy complaining about the speed of the system as a reason for
their constantly being behind in their work, but cannot reproduce the speed
problems with a Management and IS employee standing in their cubicle. I
agree with Don. Why DOES an order entry clerk need GUI applications?
