I've seen several AS/400 menuing systems that were FAR preferable to SSA's, but "'Ya gotta dance with them what brung 'ya". We've written a custom program that sets the BPCS environment, and uses BPCS' security system to determine an initial program call for those calling custom menus. It also sets OUTQ, JOBQ, and library lists based upon the BPCS settings. IMHO, we could do better (but who has the time?). Cheers, Dean Asmussen Enterprise Systems Consulting, Inc.
