I don't know about the rest of you, but any time a line of code performs
a SETLL, READx or CHAIN which sets a resulting indicator, the statement
immediately following perfoms some action as to the condition of the
indicator.

Now I'm a believer in structured code as much as the next person and I
believe that reducing indicator useage is a good thing, but RPG IS an
indicator based language in this particular case we're talking about the
execution of a single statment based upon the status of a single
indicator.

When using structured code is it for the purpose of clarity or for the
use of structure?

Stuctured programming is good, so's ice cream, but I put a limit to it
too. ;-)
