seeking employment in Minnesota

I have been in this field for many years(since 1984), with experience as a 
project manager, and looking to continue,
or even take on IT manager position.  I am still willing to "get my hands 
dirty" as I enjoy coding and 
other challenges in helping a company save money.  I have been looking for a 
couple of months in the
Minnesota area, with little luck so far - the economy is still rather tight 
here in the mid-west.

I am working with dice.com, monster.com, techies.com, iseek.org, mnworks.org, 
have a couple of 
consulting firms with my resume - some bites, but the companies put projects on 
hold, or found
"local" talent to fill the positions.  

I am mostly interested in  Minneapolis metro area, downtown to about 50 miles 
radius thereof.  
Moving is an option, but most of the areas that I see jobs now, are not 
desirable to my family,
or myself - we live in a small town, and enjoy our four seasons - the East and 
West coasts do not
appeal to us in general.  As for the South, just too hot for us.   Mostly, all 
of our family is up here.

If anyone knows of some people looking, but not advertising, or other places 
that I could continue
my search (ie: organizations, job fairs, friends of friends and so forth) it 
would be much appreciated.
