It is not only system state, but Dave also patched some of the
compiled code to alter its instructions.  He then patched the
checksums so it would restore correctly.  However, this method fails
when QVFYOBJRST is 3.

I believe Dave has comments in the UNDELM source which notes the
instructions patched.  You may have to manually do those patches
yourself to your compiled program.

Or maybe you can temporarily change QVFYOBJRST to a lower value,
restore the *PGM, then change it back?
