As far as the new MI pdf goes, the sloppy conversion (just look at EDIT)
suggests that either there's no budget for quality work or nobody really
cares.


I had hoped the p and i series were going to be consolidated as a single
brand.  This would mean separating the OS from the common hardware. Maybe by
the time the zSeries goes ppc this will make more sense.

If there's a common hardware brand, it would make sense that the current
pSeries PowerPC docs should also include the iSeries extensions.

Funny that the same documentation that is considered just a reference for
assembler programming on the pSeries is also considered sensitive internals
documentation for the iSeries.


It would be interesting if the new virtualization layer offers a new way to
explore the underpinnings of i5/OS.  For example, accessing disk that
otherwise can only be done via DST/SST.
