RE: buffering

I think that 4k is right.  Leif wants to open the file with a bigger block
without using an override.  Can do.  We spotted the elusive parameter hiding
in the manual behind the override data structure.  Since it's flushed out,
we just have to nail it to the back of the UFCB and send it off to the open
routine.
