You need to basically do the following steps:

1. Locate the program that gets called from the COM menu to launch invoicing. It might be AMBFQPVR but that would need checking. Get the program source and copy it to another member name, lets call it INVBATCH.

2. Get the program source INVBATCH. Change the display file to user controlled (UC). Modify it to populate the display fields as you require. Therefore the program will populate the display fields not the operator. Hence it becomes a batch program. Suppress the display format output. Make the program run through and launch the invoices job through 'proper MAPICS' job controls.

3. Create a CLP program. Lets call it INVBATCHC. In this program at the front end put an STRMAPICS command to build/start a MAPICS environment. Then call the INVBATCH program.

4. Use the Job Scheduler to run the INVBATCHC when you want it to run. When it runs it will launch a batch invoice job.

Does anyone have any code for automating the COM invoicing run?

We are still on release 6.0.

Thanks for any assistance.
