Eric,

The MAPICS rule was fix it in the reported release and any release
higher than the reported one. So when it was reported in R6, R7 will be
fixed as well. However when the problem was reported in the highest
level, the lower releases where not fix. Cross up not cross under. Some
exceptions were made if the problem was a very crucial one.

Eric

Never assume code is applied between releases. Since R3 it has been a
consistent problem that if a problem is fixed in one release it does not
necessarily mean it is fixed in a different release unless:

1. There are open problems for all affected releases 2. The programmer
is on his/her toes and has had enough caffine, sugar, fat and love that
they feel energetic enough to go the extra mile and get it all fixed.

If I recall right they even have a in house term for it. I can't
remember it exactly but its something like "cross release fix.

To the list,
Isn't release 6 "green-screen" code basically the same for release 7
"green-screen" code? Has anyone found an inconsistency of PTF fixes
that have been resolved in R7 but not R6 - I have.

Eric
