This describes exactly the used we had, we were purchasing product from a
sister company until we moved the production to our local facility. Thus
we were purchasing until we brought our production on-line.

Re: [MAPICS-L] Item Type 9

Hi Marc,
We are currently manufacturing item that will be made in China and because

of a long lead time we will be manufacturing them as we need them until
the shipments are received. There will be an overlap time (maybe 3-4
months) while a PO will be active and we will have to make them hence both

purchased and made.
Thanks,

Re: [MAPICS-L] Item Type 9

We have used these heavily in our operations as we are bringing product in

from outside to in-house mfg. For instance we have used this in the case
of plant closes so we can buy product from our sister division and load
the product structure. I can't think of any "gotchas".

A little info about your intend use would be helpful.

[MAPICS-L] Item Type 9

Hi Group,

Has anyone used Item Type '9' which I undertand is both manufactured and
purchased (Item Type 1 and Item Type 4) combined.
If you are using this or have used this is there any problems with it? We

have some items we are planning to change to Item Type 9 in the beginning
of July.

Thanks,
Bob Ciervo
