Ken,

Have you considered discreetly allocating the parts to the order?  All you
need to do is write an SLALLO record for the item on the order, and change
the allocation flag on the item on the order.   We do that when we pick the
item, before we bill it, to indicate that the item has been picked for the
order (part of our OFFSHIP process).

Is it possible to stage a partial kit with COM? If not, is anybody using
another method to move kit components as they are being staged out of
normal inventory? We stage a lot of kit components until the kit is
complete and need a way for the system to know that the items are not
available.
