Bill,

We started about 2 years ago. Call MAPICS Payroll and have the guru send you
their white paper on DD implementation. Pretty straightforward but you'll
probably have several more conversations with them.

After you understand what MAPICS wants, get a hold of your banks ACH expert and
have them provide you with their implementation guide. Between the 2 docs you
should be able to get going. We do all our xmits through on-line business
banking.

Biggest problem we have is getting routing #'s and account #'s from new
employees especially if they don't have or can't get a checking account. Our
bank has an option account where the deposit can only be withdrawn by a debit
card in those instances.

Good luck

Jim

subject: [MAPICS-L] Electronic Deposit Support help

We have been asked to look into direct deposit for the company I work for. I
have looked over the Mapics chapter on electronic deposit.
I would like to hear from other user how they accomplished this and how they
set up and transmit EDI data.
Thanks for all information,
William Moore
