Yes you can do that.  Have AMAPTFx higher in the library list than 
AMALIBx.  Where it gets tricky is when MAPICS changes a file that goes 
with the PTF/PCM.  If you want to back out the PTF/PCM, you will need to 
get the file back to the correct level as well.  Doing that in a 
production environment, well.... May the Force be with you..... 

The Shipping WorkBench is a perfect example of a PCM that once loaded 
MAPICS said you could not go back.  That is because they changed some 
files when that PCM loaded.  In theroy you could go back by doing a 
restore of the libraries, but if loaded into a production environment that 
is not an option.

Is MAPICS calling them PTF's or still PCM's?

Can't you put the objects in a AMAPTFx library and only have that library
