Tim,
I don't know of any 'gotchas' regarding multiple company, with the exception
of the fact that not all modules are multiple company. With the exception
of the release 7 apps, which I haven't seen yet, the only modules I know of
that support multi-company would be financials (GL,AP,AR,PR and IFM), and
order processing (COM). No support in IM, PCC, PMC, MRP, etc.

Number controls occur from the SYSCTL file for MOs. MO number comes from
the STATI1 record, field LORNO (pos 21-26). COM order numbers come from
file MBF2CPP.

On TRDATA, are you looking for the Turnaround number that is generated for
each type of barcode on the traveler (routing, material, etc.) or are you
looking for the transaction number that is created in PM&C from received
transactions? The trans number comes from the ZNXTRN data area.

Subject: adding a second company to an existing environment

Greetings! - I am looking for potential 'gotchas' when adding a second
company to an existing production environment - also interested in knowing
which files control CO, MO automatic numbering & transaction sequence
for TRDATA records - thanks in advance, Tim Bertnick w/ Plymouth Products.
