Barb,

The answer to your question is:

Yes you can "load" MAPICS on that box, but you won't be able to run anything
since the license keys are tied to a serial number and machine type, etc. You
will have to talk to your affiliate to see what can be done. You can have the
data files there for compiling or testing other applications, but MAPICS will
not run without the proper license keys.

Subject: Can MAPIC be installed on a second AS/400?

Hi all,
We are considering getting a second AS/400 for development and to
experiment with some of the many features of the AS/400 that we are
currently not using. We would also like to install MAPICS on this box to
get a good idea of what sort of performance impact it will have for our
users, and possibly justify a hardware upgrade . My question is can I
install our current MAPICS onto a second box with a different serial number?
Would there be problems/costs associated with license keys…? Has anyone done
this??
Thanks in advance!
Barb
