Hey Steve,

Thanks for the note. We would like to see reports that can be grouped by dept,
workcenter, shift, employee, part number ... showing (in summary or detail
format) information on labor hours, machine hours, qty (good/scrap),
efficiencies. We're kind of new to PMC/PCC and are moving from a home-grown
dBase III system that was designed specifically for our environment. The shop
packet (MO) concept is new to us in that we're not as concerned with results
and history at the shop packet level, rather a more rolled up level.

Would it be possible for you to email me some screen prints of what these
reports or interface screens look like?

Thanks!

Hi Tom

What kind of info are you looking for? There are several PCC/PMC 3rd party
packages out there that sumarize and give all kinds of info. We use a
product called PMC History by Acrux Integrated Solutions (www.acrux.com)
located in Rockford IL. It uses the data from PCC/PMC to keep a detailed
history of labor reported.

I would be curious to know how those of you using PC&C and shop packet
reporting, etc. develop useful reports for plant floor supervisors? True
to form, MAPICS appears to be extremely deficient in it's reporting and
feedback options available. The Labor Transaction Preview has some good info
in it, however it's much to voluminous to be practical, and must be ran as
part of a Select and Edit, not on demand. We are accumulating transactions
in MOTRAN, but using QUERY/400 on this file has yet to yield much.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.
