Settings to ease use of Laser Printers
We have used the AFPDS data stream instead of the IFPDS setting on overrides to
the printer set up as an IP Outq through the lan. With this option we are
able to handle use overides, include page segments, change fonts, send
overlays for Company Logos, bar code, and other commands.

Also, the outq setting handles the pagerange and multiup usage options without
problem.

One downside is that we have had difficulty switching paper bin selections on
the fly. We have a need sometimes to switch between 8 1/2x 11 and legal size
documents and have not been able to do this automatically.

The benefit of the AFPDS datastream over IPDS is that the pc printer does not
require a special card to convert to the printer language. We have never had
a problem with documents over 100 pages.
