I was just wondering what are the biggest numbers that can go in the 12x24
slot...

I've found a good font that I want using xfontsel...

Of course, I don't know which fonts you have installed on your system,
so
the fact that I can get a larger font doesn't necessarily mean that you
can... Try using the 'xfontsel' or 'xlsfonts' programs to find a font
that's appropriate.
