Sure.  Just set the +uninhibited config option.

Looking at the change log I'm guessing this is it

 Add "uninhibited" flag to Tn5250Display, for automatic release of
Input
  Inhibited state when movement keys and functions keys are used.
  Defaults to false for compatibility with previous versions.
OK - so I built 0.17.3 and tried it - only to realize that change note referred to 0.17.4, which seems to be CVS only.
Before I get too much further here - I need this to be reliable - is current CVS suitable for everyday use?
