checking for tn5250... Package tn5250 was not found in the pkg-config
search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `tn5250.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'tn5250' found
configure: error: Can't find tn5250

I don't know why this happens. When I compiled tn5250 I used --prefix=/usr and tn5250.pc shows up in /usr/lib/pkgconfig/tn5250.pc and everything works great for me. Perhaps Scott can shed some light on this?

I got the exact same error for tn5250.pc and x11.pc, but thats because after checking they're not setup with pkg-config. Everything was installed with apt on Debian linux. I haven't had the time yet to figure how to add x11 and tn5250 to pkg-config. I would assume Martin is having the same problem, without seeing a listing of /usr/lib/pkgconfig/.
