Sorry for replying to my own post, but I forgot to mention that if anyone
wants to test it, it is available at:

Just do:
tar -xvzf x5250.tar.gz
cd x5250
xmkmf
make
./x5250

It doesn't do anything useful at the moment.  Specifically, it doesn't
connect to any iSeries.  It just runs a hard coded demo.  But it does
demonstrate screen resizing, field attributes, wordwrap, windows, cursor
progression, etc.  See the README, TODO, GOALS, and DESIGN files for more
info if you are interested.
