I'm guessing when you go into your BIOS setup, you can use your keyboard to
navigate.
Meaning your keyboard does not require a driver at all.
Probably what the driver is for, is extra features (configurable
"multimedia" or "internet" keys).

I've never seen a North-Amercian keyboard that doesn't work under Linux.
