Hmm...  this sounds a little weird.  If you could send me the raw output
of your print job I could try to resolve this.  Just start up lp5250d like
this:

lp5250 env.DEVNAME=RAW outputcommand='cat > /tmp/lp5250d.raw' my.as400.com

Then send a report to the printer RAW.  Once it is done, send me the
resulting /tmp/lp5250d.raw file (not to the list since the list doesn't
accept attachments).  Then I can test your output here.
