Regarding the console -u option.

With the newer releases has the terminfo. termcap files changed at all?
With each subsequent release we have pretty much been using the 5250
terminfo that we 'tic'ed for tn5250-12.48. In other words he haven't done
the 'tic 5250' for any of the newer releases, we've just been doing make
install after we've built it. Could this be why we are missing the
underline capability in the 15.8 release?

From the discussion regarding this I'm assuming that my 5250 terminfo that I
'tic'ed so long ago is determining whether my terminal can view underlines
or not and not the /etc/termcap. I hate to be thick, but can someone
briefly indicate the difference between the termcap, terminfo and why I have
both and /etc/termcap and /usr/share/terminfo/... entries?

Thanks. I appreciate it.
