Was the app still running when you changed the password?
I would assume that the old password was still in memory.

subject: JVM vs i5/OS authority

I recently received a message from my 5250 emulator that my password was
going to expire in "X" days so I went ahead and changed my password.

My Java application uses a user-supplied userid/password that gets
authenticated via the toolbox (java process runs on the iSeries). The
Java process is reporting that "The application server rejected the
connection. (Password is expired.)" and, obviously, not authenticating
my userid.

Has anyone else encountered this issue before?
