If you crack this one, let us know. I wrote a wrapper for JasperReports that I haven't had a chance to move on with (yet). But part of the roadmap on the project was to add support for BIRT and the server versions of JasperReports and BIRT. The project roadmap is found under the projects tab at www.petesworkshop.com and the open source code is found here at the Open Source for i site: http://www.opensource4i.com/downloads/2008042811495836/rrepackage.zip

I hope to have most of the roadmap completed for the Common Conference in May 2010 since I'll be delivering session on this topic at the conference :-)

Does anyone know of a document that really tells you what's needed? I
want to use an existing web app to invoke a BIRT report, built from an
XML datastream. I want it to display in the browser (not essential if
there's a way to print without the display) and allow the user to print
it locally. Any shortcuts through the docs would be greatly appreciated.
I already have the report (which was pretty easy, BTW.) Now I just have
to figure out how to serve it.
