Hi,

We have just installed some new PTFs on two development iSeries boxes,
which are at V5R2. I'm now getting quite a few occurrences of the
following errors:

Host variable *N not compatible.
followed by
Input host variable *N or argument 1 not valid. state 07006 vendor error
code ?301

The errors are coming from our application in WebSphere which connects
using the Native JDBC driver over SNA to the database on the second
partition.

I've had SQL/DB2 exceptions before but this is definitely a new state code.
Has anybody else encountered this? The application ran just fine before we
applied the PTFs.

Thanks very much!

Nigel Gay
