That did indeed work. I also did a "JAVA CLASS(HelloWorld)
CLASSPATH('/Java')" from the command line and that worked too. This is
certainly a great list. Thanks for all the feedback!

Try the following.  Enter this code as /Java/HelloWorld.java:


public class HelloWorld {                  
  public static void main(String[] args) { 
    System.out.println("Hello World!");    
    System.exit(0);                        
  }                                        
}                                          

Then do the following:

QSH
(when Qshell comes up)
cd /Java
javac HelloWorld.java
export CLASSPATH=.
java HelloWorld


These steps WILL work.  Be careful that you say "public class
HelloWorld" and "public static void main(String[] args" - in fact, be
sure that you type everything in EXACTLY as I have it above.
