I would also recommend going to this site:

And downloading the free tools I wrote and contributed.  It provides you 
with standard OS/400 commands for running these WebSphere utilities.  For 
example, there is a COMPILEJSP command that will run the JspBatchCompiler 
for you.  Just makes it easier having a command to do it with.

Google on "JspBatchCompiler" and you should find some good links.  The
WebSphere info center might help, but my internet connection is goofy 
today
and it's taking a long time to download the help JAR files.
