I have not done anything with Web Services, but I have written a lot of
Servlets/JSP.

We use a combination of JDBC and PCML. We always use PCML to update the
database via calls to RPGLE objects, and we use a combination of JDBC and
PCML to read from the database. We hide those implementation details in
our "Model" layer. The consumers of our model-layer objects do not know
how the database is accessed, they work with the objects on a "pure Java"
level.

        Subject: Web Services Architecture on the iSeries

Has anyone used a Web Services architecture on the iSeries, and if so what
technology was found
to be better between the Java Servlets and the iSeries DB2 UDB databases?
We have explored the following methods and found pros and cons of each.
PCML
JNI
JDBC
Record-level Access
java.lang.Runtime.exec()

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
