Well, I think it still applies for those who are still running WebSphere
v2.
The closest doc pertinent to WebSphere v3.x can be found at:
http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/software/websphere/wsappserver/docs/as400v35/docs/pvindex1.html
Then take these links:
1. Servlets
2. Developing servlets
3. WebApplication programming model
4. Class loading and optional reloading
5. Java virtual machine performance features

Subject: Java Servlet Tips
Is this article still accurate?
http://www.as400.ibm.com/developer/java/topics/servlettips2.html
It is said that you can define the compilation level in the jvm.properties
file.
Using: ncf.native.as400.opt=40
However, the ptf that is described in this article seems to be an old one,
and this should now be included in the release.
I have looked at the jvm.properties file and nothing like that exist.
Can i add it?
Furthermore, when i do a dspjvapgm on a class file in websphere, i have no
compilation. Is it normal i suspected the Websphere compiler to compile
the files.
Many thanks
Gilles
