Hitesh, I'd recommend that you avoid the issue completely by doing all your
compilation on your workstation.  You can compile on the workstation and
then FTP the compiled classes to the AS/400, or, better yet, you can map
one of your IFS folders as a drive and compile directly on the IFS using
javac on the workstation.

Once that's done, you can then run CRTJVAPGM on the AS/400 to create the
*JVAPGM object on the AS/400.  This will improve your performance.
