Title: Testing EJB with VAJ3
If you have the same problem you must know that there is a mistake in the VAJ "EJB Development Environment" guide.

If you want to launch the persistent name server, you don't have to change the properties for the data source and data driver.
(Although it is written to do that in the guide)
Just use the default one (instant DB)

And it will work.

You may receive an error message like "http://as400.jdbc..... (your URL) driver not found, or not loaded.
But this is not blocking. You can test your EJB objects and access the database.

Subject: Testing EJB with VAJ3

Hi,

I'm testing EJB in VAJ3.

I've configured my ejb servers, but i have always the same problem when lauching the Persistent Name Server:

000.903 518d ManagedServer E Version : 3.0
001.830 518d ManagedServer E Edition: Advanced
001.845 518d ManagedServer E Build date: Sat Sep 25 00:00:00 CEST 1999
001.847 518d ManagedServer E Build number: d28_990925d
018.077 518d ConnectionMan E Failed to load the specified database driver:
                                 "jdbc:as400://GVA4004/CHDATAR;errors=full;"

Can you tell me why i have this error message.

I've added jt400.jar to my CLASSPATH but this does not solve the problem.
I'm sure that the url is ok because i'm using exactly the same one in others progs.

How can i add the classpath to the toolbox for the configuration server?

Cheers

Gilles
