How to run Java

I have a difficulty to run Java on AS/400 (V4R3).  I think that in order to
run a simple class we do not have to set up the environment.  I have a test
class which simply sends send a message.

However, When I issue command   -  Java '/dir01/myclass01', I got the
message "Job xxx/xxx/QJVACMDSRV completed normally ..".  Then a command
entry "Java Shell Command Entry".  Whenever I press any function key, this
command entry will disappear.

Could you let me know what is missing?
