Pete,

Which version of the product did you install? There were some "issues"
with some of the early 7.5.1 releases, but all seems stable now at
7.5.1.2...

I took the EGL Distance learning course from Michael Virga last month.
From example code, we covered many aspects of building and consuming
services, but not specifically for i. There was a brief touch on that,
but I do not think it had any lab exercises. From what I could tell, it
seems IBM i shops were well represented in the EGL class, so I hope to
see some i-specific tutorials from IBM. It appears that i-shops are
looking closely at RBD as a path through the modernization road atlas,
so hopefully IBM will step up to lead them (us) to

I'll try to build a QCMDEXC interface today and let you know what
happens.

I don't have a "clean" option in the project tab in the EGL or web

generate with wizard option tonight though, and found an interesting
error:

Ok, I found the clean option in the project ->MENU<-, just like you
said. Still no difference though. EGL is just not generating
com.vcpi.services.COMMANDONI, which is the current remoteCall pgmName
value for alias QCMDEXC, and is also the value on the call command in
the EGL source. I went back and removed jt400.jar from every place
except tomcat, and that location is referenced in the project. The
compile runs fine, it thinks it was successful.

Is anyone actually using RBD for building web services on i? I know
RDI-SOA worked. Maybe RBD doesn't?
