We are using IBM's Enterprise Identity Mapping (EIM) for single-signon with our iSeries. Does anyone have any idea whether EGL is compatible with EIM, more specifically calling RPG programs from EGL?

As far as I know, it's not yet available, Justin. EGL calls to RPG use the Java toolbox. Have you tried to use EIM with the toolbox? I honestly have never tried it, but if it's not supported there, that's the first place you have to get support. Then they have to build it into the EGL support libraries (right now, there's a function in J2EELib that lets you set the user profile and password).

I'm intrigued, though. In what circumstances do you expect to use EIM? Are you planning to log onto a Windows PC, for example, and then have that credential be passed automatically to, say, a browser-based application? Wouldn't the browser have to also support this?
