You are correct. You do not have to do clustering to use the Sametime
Gateway. And you don't have to do the Gateway to enable blackberry
support.

Will Sametime Gateway
1 - Allow us to include our Blackberry users?
2 - Allow us to include other IM users (such as AOL)?
3 - Allow us to go to sametime.dekko.com and it decide which sametime
server is active and ready to service it? For example, if I have
SAMETIME01 and SAMETIME02 in a cluster and SAMETIME01 goes down, will it

go to SAMETIME02? If not, what do I need?
