I am not sure on the Domino upgrade disk requirements. You may check
here:
http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/notesua.nsf/ddaf2e7f76d2cfbf8525674b00508d2b/4dfc79b535d6bea485256db4005d67fd?OpenDocument
Read Chapter 2 on upgrading especially. There are some changes that might
affect your shop. Perhaps directory sync, smtp, etc.
Chapter 1 server requirements has an estimator URL.

Either the Memo to Users, or the Software Installation Guide has a section
on disk requirements for V5R3. Not sure if there is an upgrade section,
or if you have to compare old/new.

Some things on R6 may help performance. The biggest improvement, by far,
for us, in R6, was
Configuration Document, Router/SMTP, Restrictions and Controls, SMTP
inbound Controls, Inbound Intended Recipients control, Verify that local
domain recipients exist in the Domino Directory. Prior to that our
mail.box was routinely getting clogged and had to be manually cleaned.

Search also for Domino articles by Kim Greene. She often appears in
"iSeries 400 Experts Journal" at http://www.iseries400experts.com

In case you have any Domino companion products, like Sametime, LEI, etc,
study this matrix

Re: Another Upgrade Question

Further questions:
First, if there is a site that can answer these, I will gladly stop
bothering you.

The 170 that we have has about 7-9GB of available DASD. If we upgrade
Domino to 6.5.1 and apply the v5r1 PTF's to it, how much DASD will be
left?
Then, moving forward, when we go to upgrade to v5r3, how much will we
need?
If we need to purchase additional DASD, now is the time, before we get
into
crunch time.

If we are running at 86-89% CPU Utilization under R5.0.12, will we see a
reduction in the R6.5.x world?

Thanks.

Gregg
