Dominio is a highly threaded application that loves memory (is there
more than 300MB available?).  Most, if not all, of the operating code is
loaded into memory and it really needs threads.  So, try a level 3, so
that the system adapts to Domino's requirements.  It may be that your
system's maximums are set too low for Domino and that when Domino kicks
in, it hits the limits and chokes operations.
