Roger,

You can use the "Drop All" console command to close all server sessions. You
can also follow the "Drop All" command with the "Dbcache Flush" command to
ensure that all databases are closed before you start your backup.

Just in case you're not aware of this, you can use the SBMDOMCMD from OS/400
to execute Domino console commands.

Subject: Domino Server Shutdown/Disconnect Users

I have a system where almost all the users have the Notes Minder
started with their PC and usually leave their PC on at night (either
for backup or pre-mature gray cpu shutdown). This leaves the users
active with Domino and when we shut it down *CTRLD to do backups the
POP3 task doesn't end so we have to switch to a *IMMED.

Is there anything that can be done from the server to disconnect all
users so Domino will shutdown gracefully?

Thanks.
