Hello:

Here is more information on my problem.

I have a source member open for editing. I did a verify and had errors. I corrected the errors and did verify again. The verify reported 'Verify program action completed with informational and/or warning messages'. In other words, it verified ok.

The windows that pop during verify process seemed to have an extra 'flash' and then I notice the save button for the source I just verified changes to dimmed out.

After further investigation, I think what is happening is that the file properties are somehow getting blown away by the verify process.

When I checked the file properties, the description for the source had changed to 'GLOBAL.LOCKLOCALFILES', the record length was set to zero and the source type was blank.

The only work around I've figured is to reload from scratch.

When I try to save under a different name, I have problems where the sequence number and date fields are not mapping to the file source file properly.

This 'read only' problem is intermittent, it only happens once in a while.

Any ideas?

John
