There have been a couple of questions on the WDSCI newsgroup about the WDSc
V5 availability, here is the post in response to these questions.

Here is the scoop, it is correct that WDSc V5 is shipping starting today
and you will get a package with four WDSc CDs when you order now or
already have ordered the product.

We will make a fix pack available in a week from now called 5.0.1 and also
the base WSXD products will make a 5.0.1 fix pack available at the same
time. The WSXD fixpack is large, its size is 250 MB, but you will need
this fix pack in conjunction with the WDSc 5.0.1 fix pack which is 50 MB.

So we are planning to include an extra CD in the WDSc V5 product package,
this fifth WDSc CD will contain the 5.0.1 fixpacks for WSXD and WDSc,
however it will take at least four weeks to get this re-packaging done.
So if you want to avoid downloading a couple of hundred MB's of fix packs
you might be better of waiting until we include the fixpack CD in our
product package.

Also before you apply these 5.0.1 fix packs be sure to get our WDSc Service
Pack 0, it is very small and run the WDSC50SP0.exe that it includes, this
will prepare our GA V5 product for applying the 5.0.1 fixpack with the
built in workbench update manager.
