We'll all be eating this cake with our Java pretty soon <g>

The enable extras option is under the Actions menu, I believe. Clicking it will give you a dialog for customizing with a .LX file - just click OK. It'll look like nothing happened. And if you had started it with an open member, you will need to close CODE Edit and start again.

You can start CODE from the Start->Run... and entering CODEEDIT.

For WDT 5 this was a beta add-on - it's native with WDSC 4

Good luck

But I want my cake and to eat it too. I thought at least part of the reason
for CODE/400 (actually I am using WDSc) is to move development off of the
iSeries. Why should I have to tie up an interactive session and continually
switch back and forth? It doesn't make any sense and sure doesn't sound
very efficient.

I'm looking for the CL GUI prompting option you mentioned Vern but I haven't
been able to find it yet. If I understand you correctly, I need to start
the CODE editor without a source member. Because I choose the editor when
opening a source member from WDSc it always contains a source member. I
guess I need to figure out how to start CODE outside of WDSc.
