I've followed your saga.  Mine isn't quite the same, but I suspect they are
all related.

Periodically I feel like beating myself up so I try again to figure it out.  I
don't want to reload.

Ah well, back to STRCODE, though whatever I did this morning in the
Communications Console aslo fouled up my STRCODE server, but it is now working
again.
